450mm 18 inch Side Mount Swimming Pool Sand Filter

Meet the SP450 from Emaux. Part of the ever-popular "SP" range this 450mm pool sand filter is known for its reliability and durability. It's a great economical option for domestic pools. It can also be used with hot tubs and water features.

Made from a UV-resistant polyethylene this 450mm pool sand filter can operate outside for years without any problems. It also has a max operating pressure of 2.0 bar (28 psi) and a maximum temperature of 40°C. This means that it can be used with heating if required.

Its side-mount design allows for easy servicing and the universal union will fit both 50mm and 1.5-inch pipework making installation easy. This 18 inch swimming pool filter also features a six-position multiport valve and ABS laterals.

A filter of this size will need around 45kg of sand. However, we recommend using recycled glass filter media (RGFM) to get a crystal clear pool. By using the RGFM you could also save yourself some money in the long run as you use around 15% less media and it has a longer lifespan than traditional sand.
